By default, MinkNote saves your changes automatically, so your writing is always up to date. If you prefer more control, you can turn off auto-save and use ⌘S to save whenever you choose. The choice is yours.
MinkNote is designed to feel natural on macOS. Auto-save is enabled by default, which means your edits are quietly saved in the background as you work. You don’t need to think about saving, and your notes stay current without interruption.
If you prefer a more deliberate workflow, you can disable auto-save in Settings and use ⌘S to save manually. This gives you full control over when changes are written to disk.
Whether you like everything saved instantly or prefer pressing save yourself, MinkNote adapts to your style. Your notes remain simple Markdown files, stored safely on your Mac.
